The internationally recognized Herkimer College men’s lacrosse program is one of the most well-known junior college programs in the United States. Our lacrosse team boasts nine National Championships, 21 Region III Championships, 31 straight Mohawk Valley Conference titles and over 100 All-American players.

The Generals play one of the toughest spring schedules in the NJCAA. Exposure from these games and fall events hosted on our campus has resulted in the transfer of Herkimer lacrosse players to some of the most well-respected NCAA four-year institutions in the country.

Our home games take place at the state-of-the-art Wehrum Stadium, named after legendary former lacrosse coach Paul Wehrum. The men's lacrosse coaching staff works hard to push the team to new heights and add more championships to our dynasty.

Why play lacrosse for Herkimer College?

Herkimer lacrosse players set their sights on a National Championship at the beginning of every school year and begin training for that goal on day one in the classroom. Our fall season consists of mandatory study sessions as well as lacrosse practices and team workout sessions in our multi-million dollar on-campus indoor and outdoor facilities.

Our fall game schedule has included Division II powerhouse LeMoyne, Division III power SUNY Cortland, NYIT, Hamilton College and Oswego State. We also host the Herkimer Fall Fest Lacrosse Classic which has welcomed Michigan State, SUNY Cobleskill and a large group of NJCAA teams in our state-of-the-art turf stadium. This exposure has allowed Herkimer players to transfer to some of the best NCAA four-year schools in America. These schools include Adelphi, Albany, Cornell, Cortland, Delaware, Georgetown, Hofstra, Lemoyne, Nazareth, Salisbury, Springfield, St. John’s, Sacred Heart, Syracuse and UMBC.

Herkimer plays one of the toughest spring schedules in the NJCAA and has had decades of success in the national spotlight. Although we’re proud of our competitive success, our most important accomplishment shines through in the character of our players. Herkimer truly is "Home of the Champions."
