National Junior College Athletic Association

Herkimer College is one of 525 members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), an organization founded in 1938 with the mission to, “Promote and Foster Junior College Athletics on Intersectional and National Levels.” The NJCAA is governed by an executive committee with headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The NJCAA is divided into three divisions and 24 regions. Herkimer College belongs to Division III and Region III. Many consider Region III to be the toughest in the NJCAA, so Herkimer College student-athletes benefit from a highly competitive experience in a nationally respected program.
