Why choose Herkimer College track and field?

Herkimer College track and field athletes choose our program for numerous reasons. Below are just a few:

Our strong track record.

We’ve won several team and individual championships – at national and regional levels.

Our academic commitment.

Herkimer College has one of the highest student success rates in the nation, with impressive graduation and transfer rates. Our players go on to top four-year schools and receive outstanding academic support to ensure they achieve their goals.

Our team mentality.

The men's and women's track & field program trains and travels together but competes separately. We have a strong sense of camaraderie and a true sense of family.

Our challenging season and training style.

The team starts training in early February and begins their competition the beginning of April. With the upstate weather we use several forms of indoor training such as: circuit stations, pool, plyometrics, indoor running and technique work.

Our low tuition.

Students receive excellent training and gain competitive experience and exposure – for an affordable price.

Our goal is to strive for outstanding team and individual performance. We look for hard-working, dedicated and talented athletes who have the desire to reach their full potential.
