HERKIMER, NY -- The Herkimer Women's Soccer team extended its winning streak to six games in an 11-0 victory over Tompkins-Cortland on Thursday evening.
The Generals started off with a rapid attack that saw shots fly past the net but nothing would go between the posts. Herkimer was held scoreless for the first 31 minutes before Olivia Friend put the team in the scoring column. The team would score five more goals in the next 14 minutes to take a 6-0 lead into halftime, including two from Mia Lazzara.
The team continued its goal-scoring barrage into the second-half, taking a 10-0 lead into the 70th minute before wrapping up with an 11-0 victory.
The Generals will be on short rest and will host Holyoke CC this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
