Bio

Nick Lanckton was hired as head swimming and diving coach at Herkimer College back in the summer of 2021. As coach, Nick has had three individual regional championships, and several more swimmers achieve regional runner up in their events. His 2022-23 men’s team will be competing at the NJCAA national championship. He has also had two swimmers so far, each break two of the college’s swimming records.

As a Herkimer College alum, Nick swam for the Generals from 2015-2017 and currently holds the college record for the 1650 freestyle and the 800 freestyle relay. He was a member of the 2016 men’s team which was regional runner up and was a part of two teams to compete at the NJCAA national championships.

Nick graduated from Herkimer in 2017 and later Utica University in 2019 with his bachelor’s in communications. He has deep connections within the local swimming community having swam in high school for Holland Patent. He currently is a teacher assistant at a non-for-profit high school and resides in Stittville NY.
