HERKIMER, NY -- The Herkimer Men's Soccer team defeated Cayuga Community College 6-0 in the Region 3B Semifinal on Wednesday evening.

The Generals (11-2) set the tone early with a Seunghun Yoo goal just 23 seconds into the match. A little under 10 minutes later, Yoo added another goal to give Herkimer an early insurance goal. 

Zayne Throckmorton added his first career goal off a corner-kick header to give Herkimer a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. The Generals continued its pressure throughout the second half, adding three more goals to wrap up a 6-0 victory over the Spartans (11-4-1). 

Herkimer will host the Region III Championship on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1:00 & 3:00 PM. The Generals will play No. 1 ranked Genesee in the Region 3B Final.
