Harris, Bowman-Mccoy lead Generals in Region III Cross Country
Canandaigua, NY- Avion Harris and Amelia Bowman-Mccoy led the Herkimer Generals with strong performances at the Region III Cross Country Championships at Finger Lakes Community College.
Harris finished second in a time of 27:43 and the Men's team placed fourth overall. Allen Booth 7th place finish in 29:17 along with Harris earned both runners All-Region III honors for the Championship meet. Landon Kepple placed just outside the top ten finishing 11th in 30:09. Ryan Jenkins (39th) 35:49, Yuta Araki (51) 40:58 and Brian Reile (53) completed the scoring for the Generals.
Amelia Bowman-Mccoy finished 4th overall which earned her All-Region III Honors for the season as she completed the difficult 5k course in 23:21. The Generals will next compete at the NJCAA National Division III Cross Country Championships on November 5th in Massachusetts.
