Generals Women's Tennis Finishes the Season with Several Players on the All-Region Team

Utica, NY- The Generals travelled to the Region III Women's Tennis Chmapionship on Sunday hosted by Mohawk Valley CC.  Herkimer's doubles number 1, Natalie Sagatis/ Emily Ferlo lost to Mohawk Valley, Rebecca Huynh/ Philymena Dikar, by a score of 6-3, 7-5. The Generals number 2 doubles, Jordan Cody/ Marcella Seaton, were able to defeat Hudson Valley doubles, Erin Innerarity/ Emma Spadaro, by a score of 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).  Jordan Cody and Marcella Seaton advanced to the championship round facing Mohawk Valley's Julia Cucci and Callie Ott losing 6-0, 6-3.  

In singles competition, Herkimer's number 1, Natalie Sagatis, lost to Mohawk Valley's Julia Cuccia by a score of 6-1, 6-2.  Herkimer's number 2, Jordan Cody, lost to Zara Cole of Hudson Valley by a score of 6-3, 6-1.  Emily Ferlo, singles no. 3, defeated Erin Innerarity by a score of 6-1, 6-2.  Emily advanced to the championship round to face Mohawk Valley's Philymena Dikar.  Emily lost 6-2, 6-1 in the championship round.  Singles no. 4, Marcella Seaton, defeated Emma Spadaro of Hudson Valley 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the championship round.  Callie Ott of Mohawk Valley defeated Marcella 6-3, 6-1.  Ciara Abraham-Davis, singles no. 5, defeated Sidney Phillips of Hudson Valley 7-5, 6-1.  Ciara lost in the championship round 6-2, 6-2 to Kaitlyn Finch of Mohawk Valley.  

Congratulations to Emily Ferlo, Marcella Seaton, Jordan Cody, and Ciara Abraham-Davis on being named Region III Second Team All-Region.  Head Coach Matt Lee was proud of the teams improvement over the course of the season.
