Zysk Places Second in Region III

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Herkimer Generals cross country team finished on a strong note at the Region 3 Championship meet hosted by Finger Lakes Community College.

Kaylan Zysk (Little Falls/Little Falls, N.Y.) followed up her Mountain Valley Conference triumph by placing a close 2nd in the regional competition. Given the sloppy conditions of the challenging Finger Lakes course, the time of 22:42 is nothing to scoff at and a good way to end the season.

For the men, Chase Bowman (West Canada Valley/Little Falls, N.Y.) capped his first season with the Generals by placing 42nd in a time of 35:40, while Chris Hardin (Rome Free Academy/Rome, N.Y.) concluded his Herkimer career by placing 48th in a time of 36:42 for the 8,000 meter men's course.

With the remaining runners all opting out of the national meet, this concludes the 2021 cross-country campaign. Congratulations to the Herkimer Generals on another great season!
