Crouse Concludes Historic Season as All-American at Nationals

CHAUTAUQUA, NY -- Weeks after winning the first Region III Championship in program history, sophomore Evan Crouse continued his historic run with a T16 finish at the NJCAA Division III Golf National Championship at Chautauqua Golf Club.

Not only was Crouse's 16th-place finish the best in program history at the National Championship, but he became the first golfer in Herkimer history to be named an All-American.

Crouse shot his worst round of the tournament on the first day with an eight-over, 80. He bounced back the next day with an impressive four-over 74, and stayed in the top 20 throughout the final two days of the National Championship. 

He was one of 15 golfers in the 72-player field with at least 11 birdies across the four-day tournament. He also finished top-10 in par-5 scoring, with an average of 4.85.
