Bio

Sarah Lazarus, South Berlin, NY, was a multi-sport athlete at Herkimer from 2005 to 2008, participating in cross country, track, basketball, lacrosse and indoor track. Lazarus was an outstanding runner as well as a two-year starter for the women’s basketball program. Lazarus’ accomplishments include placing third at the 2005 national cross country meet, and second at the 2006 national meet. In 2007, she was won national championships in the 800m and 1500m races at the Women’s Track & Field national meet. In 2008, Lazarus helped lead her team to win the College’s first women’s track and field national championship, finishing second in the high jump and second in the 3200m relay. Lazarus was named Herkimer College Female Athlete of the Year in 2006. She currently holds the record for the cross country course at Herkimer College.
