Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo, September Athlete of the Month

Herkimer, NY – Herkimer College women’s soccer standout Yetnelyz “Yeti” Lugo-Mateo, a sophomore General Studies major from Utica, NY, has been named the September Green & Gold Female Athlete of the Month.

Lugo-Mateo earned both NJCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Player of the Week and NJCAA Region 3 Athlete of the Week honors for the week of September 9–16, recognizing her outstanding performances on the field.

During the month of September, Yeti contributed 8 goals and 3 assists, totaling 19 points, helping to lead the Generals to several key victories. Her offensive presence and consistent play have made her a driving force for the team’s success this season.
