Kaylan Zysk, 2021 October Female Athlete of the Month

Kaylan Zysk had turned in a stellar freshman campaign for the Herkimer women’s cross country team. Zysk placed in the top five in all but one race this fall. Recently Zysk won the Mountain Valley Conference Championship and a week later finished second in the Region 3 championship. Kaylan was just the third General to win the Mountain Valley joining Tori Campanian and Chyanna Bernier to do so. In addition Zysk was named Region 3 athlete of the week, during the week of October 4^th-10^th. Head Coach Steve Sydoriw noted “Kaylan had a very strong first season and was a pleasure to coach. With all her hard work and effort, it was nice to see her win the Mountain Valley Championship and be named to the All-Region team.”
