Matthew Travis, 2022 February Athlete of the Month

Herkimer, NY- Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the February. They are women’s bowler Sianna Kenyon(Ilion, NY) and men’s swimmer, Matthew Travis(Fort Plain, NY).

Matthew Travis has an incredible freshman season for the Generals swim team. Travis set the Herkimer College record in 1000 M free and 400 IM. In addition Travis finished second in the Region III Championship in the 200 and 400 M.

Head Coach Nick Lancton said "Matt is incredibly motivated and constantly pushes himself to perform at his best. His accomplishments and recognition he has received this year is a testament to his hard work".
