Michael Wroth, May Athlete of the Month
Baseball First Baseman Michael Wroth is the 2018 May Green & Gold Male Athlete of the Month
Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the month of May. They are men’s baseball player Michael Wroth (Chicopee, MA) and women’s track and field athlete Malerie Belles (Clay, NY).
Wroth, a sophomore third baseman, hit .371 for the year with 12 home runs and 43 RBIs. He had a great month of May as he led the Generals to the Region III Championship and the #1 seed in the NJCAA Division III World Series.
Coach Jason Rathbun said, “Mike had a championship to remember hitting 5 home runs and breaking our single season home run record with 12. Mike was a key part in Herkimer capturing its 6th regional title.
