Kristina Reynolds, November Athlete of the Month

Sophomore Kristina Reynolds (Sherburne-Earlville, NY), a swimmer for the Herkimer Generals, was named Female Athlete of the Month in November. Reynolds, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major, has come in the Top 5 in all 16 of her events this year (Top 3 in 15). She set a school record in the 1000 Freestyle at the Generals second meet in Cazenovia. It was one minute and 21 seconds better than the previous record holder (13:18.13).

Added to this, Reynolds has three first-place finishes this season; two in the 100 yd. Backstroke and one in the 400 yd. Freestyle Relay. Head Coach Vicki Brown commented on this achievement saying, “Kristina returned to the pool this year with a completely different attitude and work ethic. She now leads her team by example. She set a school record at Cazenovia in an event she never competed in previously. She now has two school records at Herkimer County Community College.” The other record came in the 400 yd. Individual Medley.
