Sarah Foley, February Athlete of the Month

The Female Athlete of the Month for February 2013 is Sarah Foley, Women’s Bowling (Rome, NY). A Criminal Justice major, Foley was named to the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference 1st Team, was named Region III Player of the Year, Region III Tourney MVP, won the regional title for Singles, Doubles and All-Events, and made 1st Team All-Region. She then went on to win the National Championship for Doubles, Singles, and All-Events, earning her the honor of National Bowler of the Year, 1st Team All-American and Tourney MVP. Coach PJ Anadio said, “Sarah has worked so hard on not only her game, but her mental approach as well. I am very proud of her bowling accomplishments but even more for how she has grown as a teammate and a person. Sarah has a very bright future and I’m excited to see her fulfill her aspirations along her future endeavors.”
