Generals Tennis Falls to Hawks in Regular Season Finale

Herkimer College hosted Mohawk Valley Community College in a Region III women's tennis matchup in the team's regular season finale on April 30th. Despite a hard-fought effort on home courts, the Generals were beaten 8-1 by a strong Hawks squad.

Herkimer's lone singles highlight came from Anderson Eggleston, who secured a competitive 8–6 win in the second flight over MVCC's Lotte Van Heeswijk. Eggleston's victory was a bright moment in an otherwise tough singles slate for the Generals.

• Ava Williams dropped her first-flight match 8–2 to Philymena Dikar.

• Allison Ball fell 8–3 in the third flight.

• Haylie Buysse, Sydney Schell, and Sarah Davis each lost in straight sets in the fourth through sixth flights.

MVCC swept all three doubles flights, with Herkimer unable to find traction:

• Williams and Ball fell 8–2 at first doubles.

• Eggleston and Buysse lost 8–2 in the second flight.
