Women's Soccer Ends Season in North A District Championship

The No. 4 seeded Herkimer College Women's Soccer team suffered defeat against No. 1 seeded Mohawk Valley Community College at Genesee CC.

The game's first goal came in the first half at the 32:45 mark when Isabella Kleban scored for Mohawk Valley, assisted by Morgan Angus. Herkimer goalkeeper Cassidy Will was put to the test, making three saves over the course of 90 minutes, facing seven shots on goal and allowing four goals.

Offensively, Herkimer managed four shots, two of which were on target, with players such as Ava Marcolin, Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo, and Siera Jacques contributing to the team's attacking efforts. Despite a yellow card issued to Siera Jacques and a red card to Sarah Davis, Herkimer's defensive efforts remained strong, illustrated by their composure under pressure.

Mohawk Valley held the advantage in corner kicks with nine compared to Herkimer's one, and the game was marked by frequent fouls, with Herkimer committing 11 to Mohawk Valley's seven.

The Generals finish their season 8-5-2.
