Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo Named NJCAA Division III Player of the Week

Herkimer College freshman forward Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo has been named NJCAA Division III Player of the Week.

Lugo-Mateo was instrumental in helping Herkimer secure victories this weekend, including a hat trick in an 8-0 win over Jamestown and a 5-2 win against SUNY Broome.

Over six games this season, Lugo-Mateo has been a consistent attacking force, racking up 12 goals, 3 assists, and a total of 27 points, placing her 8th in the nation for points and 4th for goals.

Lugo-Mateo's ability to find the back of the net and create opportunities for her teammates has been a key factor in Herkimer's performances on the pitch.
