On September 21, 2024, the Herkimer College women's soccer team hosted SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry (ESF) in a closely contested match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
The game started in favor of ESF, as they secured two goals within the first 17 minutes of the match. The first goal came at 9:34, followed by a second just six minutes later at 16:07. Herkimer, however, made a strong comeback in the second half. Kadence York, assisted by Mia Lazzara, scored the first goal for Herkimer at 51:11, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Then, at the 68:59 mark, Lazzara, assisted by Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo, equalized the game, making it 2-2.
Kerisa Van Olst and McKenzie Raine made a combined 5 saves, while ESF's goalkeeper faced a barrage of shots and held strong with 11 saves.
