Archie, McNeil Record Double-Double’s in Win Over Hudson Valley

Herkimer College secured a 64-56 victory over Hudson Valley Community College. The Generals showcased a strong all-around team effort, with several players making key contributions to secure the win.


Key Performances:

Kavashia Archie led the team with an impressive double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in her 36 minutes of play. Archie also contributed defensively with 5 steals and 4 assists.

Imani McNeil had a standout performance on the boards, leading all players with 16 rebounds to go along with her 17 points, providing Herkimer with a solid inside presence.

Sage Geisler added 13 points and dished out 6 assists while also collecting 5 steals.

Kerisa Van Olst contributed 8 points and 7 rebounds, including 2 steals and 1 block. 

Team Stats:

• Herkimer shot 44.2% from the field and capitalized at the free-throw line, going 15-23 (65.2%).

• The Generals dominated the glass, out-rebounding Hudson Valley with a total of 50 rebounds compared to their opponent's 38. Their strong rebounding allowed them to control the tempo and create second-chance opportunities.

• Herkimer's defense forced Hudson Valley into difficult shots, limiting them to just 26.3% shooting from the field. The Generals also recorded 13 steals, applying consistent pressure on the defensive end.


Herkimer led from start to finish, building an early lead of 18-13 in the first quarter and maintaining their advantage throughout the game. The Generals have two days off before heading to Cayuga on Saturday and Finger Lakes on Sunday for a non-conference doubleheader.
