Seven Generals Earn End of the Season Honors

HERKIMER, NY -- Four Generals softball players were awarded All-Region honors while seven earned Mountain Valley Conference honors.

Sophomore outfielder Angeline Montanez (Troy, NY) and sophomore pitcher Madison Prior (East Greenbush, NY) earned first-team All-Region nods. Prior, the winningest pitcher in Region III this season, paced the Generals to 15 wins with a 2.59 ERA and 152 strikeouts. Montanez held multiple top-three categories on the team including hits, batting average and stolen bases.

Freshmen infield tandem Danielle Filapello (Cicero, NY) and Olivia Friend (Oneida, NY) earned second-team All-Region after leading the team in batting average, hits, and RBI.
