Bio
Nick Lanckton has served as the Head Coach of the Herkimer College Swimming & Diving program since 2021, working tirelessly to elevate the team to national prominence. Under his leadership, the Generals have achieved success at both the regional and national levels, with numerous individual Region III champions and multiple student-athletes earning All-Region III honors.
On the national stage, Lanckton has guided his men’s teams to the NJCAA National Championships in both 2023 and 2025. The 2023 squad set multiple program records and earned top-10 finishes in several relay events. In 2025, both Herkimer divers achieved top-8 finishes at the NJCAA National Championships.
A proud alumnus of Herkimer College, Lanckton was a standout member of the Generals’ Swimming & Diving team. During his collegiate career, he was a two-time All-Region III selection, competed at consecutive NJCAA National Championships, and still holds school records in the 1650 Freestyle and 800 Freestyle Relay.
Beyond coaching, Lanckton works as a high school social studies teacher in Utica and resides in Holland Patent. His passion for both education and athletics continues to inspire the next generation of student-athletes at Herkimer College.
