The Herkimer Generals faced off against Region 3 rival Cayuga Community College on Saturday, battling hard but ultimately falling 4-2.
Cayuga struck first to take an early lead, but Herkimer responded when Paul Springer found the back of the net to level the match. The Spartans regained momentum shortly after, scoring three unanswered goals to build a commanding advantage.
The Generals continued to press and managed to pull one back late in the contest, but the comeback bid fell short.
Herkimer hits the road next to take on Skidmore College on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
