Herkimer College defeated SUNY Adirondack in an impressive Sunday victory. The game began with Herkimer taking the lead early, as Ben Gundle opened the scoring at the 17:00 mark with an assist from Rood Apolon. Just six minutes later, Rowan Slater doubled the lead, converting a penalty kick to make it 2-0.
Herkimer continued to add the pressure with Kyle Macfarlane adding a third goal just before halftime at the 40:00 mark, once again assisted by Apolon. The second half saw even more goals from Herkimer, as Macfarlane found the back of the net again in the 52nd minute, this time unassisted, bringing the score to 4-0. Slater added his second of the match just three minutes later, assisted by Apolon, extending Herkimer's lead to 5-0.
The scoring didn't stop there. Jack Gray made it 6-0 at 72:00, assisted by David Zepeda Jr., and Manasseh Turenne sealed the deal with a final goal in the 80th minute, assisted by Brandon Castorina, completing the 7-0 victory.
The Generals Men's Soccer team has a week off before its next matches against SUNY Broome and Jamestown CC at Wehrum Stadium.
