Apolon, Macfarlane Help No. 2 Ranked Men's Soccer Push Past Jefferson CC

The No. 2 ranked Herkimer Men's Soccer team continued their dominant start to the season with a 4-0 victory over Jefferson CC on Wednesday night, improving their record to a perfect 5-0.

The Generals wasted no time asserting their control, with Rood Apolon opening the scoring at 16:28 with a goal assisted by Rowan Slater, putting Herkimer up 1-0.

Apolon doubled the lead at 27:46, with an inspirational assist from Kyle Macfarlane, making it 2-0.

Just two minutes later, Manasseh Turenne added another goal at 29:52 off an assist from Beau Pomeroy, pushing the lead to 3-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Herkimer didn't let up. At 50:11, Macfarlane sealed the win with a fourth goal, assisted by Apolon, securing a comfortable 4-0 win for the Generals.

Herkimer's defense was stellar throughout, holding Jefferson to only two shots. Meanwhile, Herkimer tallied 15 shots on goal, with Apolon and Macfarlane leading the offensive charge.
