No. 2 Ranked Men's Soccer Improves to 4-0 with Win over Fulton-Montgomery CC

The No. 2 ranked Herkimer Generals men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to start the season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College. The Generals showcased their offensive depth and defensive solidity in a match that saw them score three second-half goals to seal the win.

Manasseh Turenne broke the deadlock late in the first half, scoring in the 40th minute off an assist from Rood Apolon, giving Herkimer a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, the Generals quickly picked up where they left off. Dylan Pederson added a second goal in the 58th minute, assisted by Kyle Macfarlane. Herkimer continued to pile on the pressure, with Beau Pomeroy making it 3-0 in the 72nd minute after a setup by Turenne. Callum Pike rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute with a goal assisted by Rood Apolon, completing the 4-0 victory.

Goalkeeper Andrew Moulton was a key figure in maintaining the clean sheet for Herkimer, making 9 saves throughout the match to keep Fulton-Montgomery off the scoreboard. Despite facing 9 shots from the opposing team, Moulton stood strong in goal.

Herkimer took control of the game with 13 shots on target, converting four of them, while Fulton-Montgomery managed 9 shots, but none of them found the back of the net. Herkimer also earned 6 corner kicks to Fulton-Montgomery's one, further emphasizing their dominance in attack.

With the victory, the Generals improve their record to 4-0 on the season, continuing their strong start. The Generals have a few days of rest before playing against Jefferson on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Wehrum Stadium.
