Turenne Scores Five Goals in 19-1 Win at Clinton CC

Plattsburgh, NY — The Herkimer Generals delivered an overwhelming performance in their recent match against Clinton Community College, cruising to a dominant 16-1 victory.

The Generals set the tone early, with Matty Casson netting the first goal just one minute into the match, assisted by Christian Davies. Clinton's Isaac Parker quickly responded in the 4th minute, leveling the score at 1-1 with an unassisted goal. However, Herkimer regained control just minutes later when Ben Gundle scored an unassisted goal in the 8th minute to make it 2-1.

From there, Herkimer's offense exploded. Rowan Slater, Matty Casson, and Rood Apolon each added to the lead, with assists from players like Ben Gundle, Brian Valdovinos, and Casson himself. By the 29th minute, the Generals had extended their lead to a stunning 10-1. Christian Davies also contributed to the tally during this barrage of goals.

In the second half, Herkimer showed no signs of slowing down. Manasseh Turenne was a standout, scoring five goals in the second half alone, including one in the 77th minute from Ross Mackinnon. Brandon Castorina also had an impactful game with two assists to Turenne.

Goalkeeper Andrew Moulton faced only one shot on goal, conceding a single goal in his 45 minutes of play. Maximilian Axt also played 45 minutes and helped ensure a clean second half, as Clinton's attack was shut down.

The final score saw Herkimer claim a resounding 19-1 victory, underscoring their dominant play across the field, with a particularly strong showing from Matty Casson, who contributed both goals and assists, and Manasseh Turenne, who provided an offensive clinic in the second half.
