Generals win Region 3, District B Championship

Batavia NY- The Herkimer Generals and Mohawk Valley Hawks traveled to Genesee CC for the Region 3 District B Championship on Sunday 10/31. The game stayed knotted through the first 19 minutes when Ikiel Collins-Brown (Monroe, NY) assisted Ali Somow (Utica, NY) to put the Generals up 1-0. The Generals controlled the ball the next 70 minutes to cruise to the District B Championship.

Goalkeeper Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) had 5 saves for the Generals who moves on to the National tournament November 12. Takahashi's shutout was his 5^th of the season and it moves the Generals to 10-1 on the season. Takahashi, Will Leary (Crowbrough, England), Mitchell Bourdeau (Swanton, Vermont) all received All-Tournament honors and Ali Somow won the District B Most Valuable Player.

Herkimer College will be the NJCAA Division 3 National Championship host and The Generals will play Friday, November 11th.
