Generals Lacrosse Fall to National Power Onondaga on Sophomore Night

The Herkimer Generals Men's Lacrosse team faced one of their toughest challenges of the season on Friday night, falling 27-11 to nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College under the lights at Wehrum Stadium on Sophomore Night.
 
The visiting Lazers set the tone early with a 5-goal first quarter, that saw the team lead by two goals over the Generals. Onondaga followed it with an explosive second period, taking a 16-4 lead into halftime. Despite the deficit, the Generals continued to battle and found rhythm in the second half, scoring seven goals after the break.
 
Freshman  Ryan Hoyt continued his strong season with a hat trick and one assist. Chris Rose also tallied three points on two goals and an assist. Lukas Quinn chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Casey Ryan, Eric Attleson, Caleb Sanjurjo, and Owen Pierce each added a goal for the Generals. Attleson and Ryan both contributed on the assist sheet as well.

Herkimer (8-4) will hit the road next Monday to face Region 3 rival Hudson Valley Community College. Face-off is set for 4:00 PM in Troy, NY.
