Herkimer Men's Lacrosse Dominates Hudson Valley in 25-12 Victory, Improves to 6-1

The Herkimer Generals Men's Lacrosse team continued its strong season with a commanding 25-12 win over Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday. The Generals improved to 6-1 on the year, showcasing their offensive firepower with a dominant first half that set the tone for the game.

Herkimer came out hot, putting up 12 goals in the first quarter while limiting Hudson Valley to just three. Chris Rose (assisted by Eric Attleson) and Jordan Fox (assisted by Ryan Hoyt) got the scoring started early, and the Generals never looked back. Hoyt and Attleson were key playmakers throughout the game, with each recording multiple goals and assists.

The Generals continued their offensive barrage in the second quarter, adding eight more goals to take a commanding 20-5 lead into halftime. Ryan Hoyt, Lukas Quinn, and Chris Rose led the scoring charge, while Eric Attleson and Casey Ryan helped facilitate the attack with crisp passing and timely assists.

While Hudson Valley managed to put together a more competitive second half, Herkimer's lead was insurmountable. The Generals' defense, led by a relentless effort in ground ball battles and aggressive play in transition, kept the Vikings from mounting a serious comeback.

The third quarter saw Herkimer slow down slightly with four goals, while Hudson Valley netted three. In the fourth, Casey Ryan added one final goal for the Generals before the team shifted into game-management mode to close out the contest.

With the win, Herkimer improves to 6-1 on the season and now shifts its focus to a road matchup against Jefferson Community College on Wednesday at 4:00 PM. The Generals will look to continue their winning streak and keep their momentum rolling as the season progresses.
