Generals Season Comes to an End at Region III-A Championship

SYRACUSE, NY -- The Herkimer Generals season came to an end Saturday at Onondaga's Chuck Wilber field. The Lazers knocked off the Generals 27-4 to move on to the National Tournament. The Generals received goals from Joey Ondrako(New Hartford, NY) who scored 3 on the day and Mike Miccio(Syracuse, NY) who scored a goal from a Khyler Johnson(Akwesasne, NY) assist. The Generals finish the season 5-5 winning the Mountain Valley Championship for the first time since 2016.

Head Coach Bob Leary said "This is one of the seasons I have ever personally experienced. We went from not having enough guys in the fall to playing with only 14 guys when we were healthy in the spring to being ranked in the top 10 with a winning record. This was a testament to what a special group of young athletes I had. It was an honor to coach this 2022 Herkimer Generals!"
