West Windsor N.J. -- The Herkimer Generals traveled to Mercer CC on Sunday March 6th to take on the #9 ranked Vikings. The Generals came out strong, leading the Vikings 4-2 at the end of the first half. Mercer made a second half push, but the Generals were able to fight them of and come out with the first victory of the season.
The Generals were led offensively by Mike Miccio (Syracuse, NY) who finished the day with 4 goals on 4 shots. Joey Ondrako(New Hartford, NY) added 2 goals on 2 shots to led the Generals. Khyler Johnson (Akwesasne, NY), Matt Archer (Warwick, NY) and Jesse Ondrako (New Hartford, NY) all chipped in goals to add there first goals of the season.
Goalkeeper Jarrod Brant (Port Colborne, ON) had 32 saves on the afternoon to led the Generals to the first victory of the season.
The Generals are back in action on March 19th, when they host the Monroe CC Tribunes at 1 P.M.
