Generals end regular season with win at MV, will travel to Monroe for Region III Playoff game on Wednesday

Utica, NY - The Herkimer Generals ended their regular season in style on Saturday afternoon, going on the road to defeat rival Mohawk Valley by a score of 13-3. It was the third time in 9 games that Herkimer held their opponent to 3 goals or less as they shot out to a 6-2 halftime lead and only gave up one goal in the second half to seal the win against the Hawks. With the win, Herkimer closes out the regular season portion of their schedule with a record of 5-4. 

The offensive attack was led by Alex Gorgas (Marcy, NY) and Jace Babka (Draper, UT), who scored 3 goals apiece. Zach St. Hilaire (Brasher Falls, NY) pitched in with 2 goals and Spencer Parks (Niskayuna, NY), Dylan Utter (Forsyth, GA) and Ryan O' Hara (North Syracuse, NY) each pitched in with one goal apiece. Goalie Jack Babka (Draper, UT) once again turned in another outstanding performance in goal, making 18 saves on the afternoon. 

The Generals now look ahead to the Region III Men's Lacrosse playoffs as they have earned the # 5 seed and will travel to # 4 seeded Monroe Community College on a Region IIIA Semifinal matchup. The game will take place in Rochester, NY on Monroe's home field on Wednesday, May 1. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
