Herkimer, NY - Ryan O' Hara (North Syracuse, NY) scored four goals and Goalie Jack Babka (Draper, UT) made 21 saves as the Herkimer Generals won their home opener by a score of 12-9 over Jefferson CC on Saturday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium. The win lifts the Generals record to 2-0 on the young season.
Zach St. Hilaire (Brasher Falls, NY) added three goals, including the one that broke a 9-9 tie with 6 minutes remaining that gave Herkimer a lead they would not relinquish. Alex Gorgas (Whitesboro, NY) added two goals on the day while Deondre Boyer ( Rome, NY), Jace Babka (Draper, UT), and Dylan Utter (Forsyth, GA) added one goal apiece in the win.
The Generals will put their undefeated record on the line on Wednesday afternoon as they will travel to Troy, NY for a road game with Mountain Valley Conference rival Hudson Valley. Game time for Wednesday is set for 5:00 PM.
