Tompkins-Cortland uses strong second half to defeat Herkimer Men's Lacrosse

Herkimer, NY - The Tompkins-Cortland Panthers used a strong second half to break away from a tie game at halftime to defeat the Herkimer Generals by a score of 13-8 on Saturday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium. With the score tied at 7 at the half, the Panthers scored 3 goals each in the third and fourth quarter while limiting Herkimer to just one third period goal in the second half. 

The Generals had four players score 2 goals apiece on the afternoon to account for their scoring. Eddie White (Utica, NY), Jace Babka (Draper, UT), Nazir Tingling-White (Albany, NY), and Val Brito (Norwalk, CT) were the Herkimer Generals that accounted for their 8 goals in the contest. Pat Gribbon (Stone Ridge, NY) added 3 assists. Jack Babka (Draper, UT) has 24 saves in goal for the Generals in the losing effort.

The loss drops Herkimer's record to 4-4 on the season. The Generals will end their regular season next weekend when they travel to Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY on Saturday and Mercyhurst NE College in Erie, PA on Sunday. Both games are set to start at 1:00 PM.
