Binghamton, NY - The Herkimer Generals Men's Lacrosse team opened their 2018 campaign with a 7-4 road win at SUNY Broome on Saturday afternoon. The Generals used a 3 goal 4th quarter to break away from the Hornets after the game was tied at 3 at halftime.
Eddie White (Utica, NY) and Valentin Brito (Norwalk, CT) paced the Generals scoring with 2 goals apiece. Spencer Parks (Niskayuna, NY) added a goal and 3 assists while Nazir Tingling-White (Albany, NY) and Pat Gribbon (Stone Ridge, NY) chipped in with a goal apiece to complete Herkimer's scoring. Jack Babka (Draper, UT) was strong in goal for the Generals, stopping 18 of Broome's 22 shots.
Herkimer (1-0) opens the home portion of their 2018 schedule on Thursday, March 22 as they host Finger Lakes Community College at Wehrum Stadium. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
