Season ends with road loss to #4 Genesee

BATAVIA, NY – Traveling to Genesee Community College for their last regular season game, the Herkimer Generals men's lacrosse team lost to the #4 Cougars 28-0, ending on a two-game losing streak.

Herkimer (5-7) was held scoreless for the first time all season, watching Genesee score nine goals in the first, seven in the second and six in the third and fourth. It kept starter Charles Rosaschi (Highland Mills, NY) busy throughout his 60 minutes of play, saving a season-high 24 shots. It was Rosaschi's third 20 save performance of the season, finishing with the fourth most saves in the nation (184).

With the loss, the Generals will not make a sub-regional game in 2016. The top four teams in the region are #1 Onondaga, #2 Genesee, #3 Finger Lakes and #4 Monroe. Herkimer finished sixth in the region, one game behind Jefferson despite having the same record (5-7). The Cannoneers beat the Generals 8-7 early in April.
