Season ends with loss to Panthers

HERKIMER, NY – In their last home game of the season, the Herkimer Generals men's lacrosse team hosted Tompkins-Cortland Community College at Wehrum Stadium on Saturday. After four periods of play, the Panthers came out on top 14-5.

Herkimer 5-6 (2-1) only managed one goal in the first half, seeing themselves down by four goals at half 5-1. Netting the goal for the Generals was Michael Fuoco (Kingston, NY). It was his 11th of the season.

In the second half, Herkimer was outscored 9-4, with Jonathan Camera (Staten Island, NY), Kyle Lee (Cincinnati, OH) and Joel Braun (Troy, NY) creating offense. Camera scored his 15th goal of the season, Lee scored his 29th and Braun scored his 14th.

In goal for the Generals was Mario Diaz (New Rochelle, NY) and Austin Loeffel (Red Hook, NY). In the first half, Diaz saved six shots. In the second half Loeffel saved six as well.

Herkimer finished the Region III in fourth place, behind Onondaga, SUNY Delhi and Jefferson.
