Herkimer Men's Bowling Finishes Third in Region III Championship
The Herkimer Generals Men's Bowling team showcased their skills at the 2025 NJCAA Region III Bowling Championship, battling against some of the toughest competition in the region. The Generals delivered strong performances, earning individual and team accolades.
Men's Team Finishes Third in Region
The Herkimer men's bowling team put forth an impressive showing, securing a third-place finish with a total pinfall of 7,891. They trailed only SUNY Erie (9,181) and Hudson Valley (8,813), demonstrating resilience throughout the tournament.
Standout performances included Darrian Gilmore and Anton Leonard, who placed second in doubles with a combined score of 1,596. In singles competition, Gilmore led the way with a 706 series, placing him among the region's top bowlers, while Owen Capria contributed a strong 666 series.
In the All-Events category, Gilmore once again made his mark, finishing 6th overall with a total score of 1,540, while Leonard followed with 1,374, and Capria with 1,369.
