Generals Lose 61-59 in Region III Semi-Final

Batavia NY- The Herkimer Generals took on Onondaga CC Lazers in the Region III Semi-Finals. The Generals jumped out ahead in the first half 31-26 but the Lazers rallied back in the second half going on an 11-2 run to start the half. The Generals pulled the lead to 2 points in the waning seconds, but missed a 3 pointer as time expired.
Herkimer was led by Jayden Stephens (Yonkers, NY) and Keyshawn Miller (Yonkers, NY). Stephens had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Miller had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mecca McCullough and John Harrison both provide an instant spark for the Generals off the bench. McCullough had two second half 3 pointers and Harrison had 8 points including two, 3 pointers as well.
The Generals move to 21-4 on the season and await the NJCAA Division III selection show on Tuesday(3/2) to see if they will advance to the National Tournament as an at-large bid.
