Generals win 84-77 on the road

Johnstown NY- The Herkimer Generals traveled to take on the Fulton Montgomery CC Raiders, for the first of two match-ups in the week. The Generals jumped out ahead in the first half, taking a 38-29 led into intermission. The Raiders and Generals battled through the second half, but the Generals pulled out the road win 84-77. On the night, the Generals shot 55 percent from the field while outscoring FMCC 46-28 in the paint. In addition, the Generals had 10 steals and converted on 18 transition points. 

Herkimer had 3 players score over 20 points on the night. Those include Jayden Stephens (Yonkers, NY), Shykell Brown (Rochester, NY) and Zyeir Lawrence (Oneonta, NY). Stephens filled up the stat sheet, scoring 20 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Brown led the Generals with 26 points (6/9 from behind the arc), while adding 3 assists and 2 steals. Lawrence scored 20 points, while pulling down 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. 

Herkimer moves to 15-2 on the season and are back in action Saturday (2/6) when they host Genesee CC for a 2 PM Tip-off.
