Generals improve to 8-0

Herkimer NY- The undefeated Herkimer Generals men's basketball team played Wednesday night for their first game in 10 days after the Thanksgiving vacation. The Generals got to work right from the tip, outscoring SUNY Adirondack 53-20 through the first half. The Generals then turned in 40 more points in the second half to roll to a 93-58 win. 

The Generals were led by sophomore's Chris Volo (Westbury, NY), Keyshawn Miller (Yonkers, NY) and Jayden Stephenson (Yonkers, NY). Volo turned in a double-double scoring 17 points while grabbing 15 rebounds and 2 blocks. Miller had 17 points as well, with 8 rebounds while chipping in with 3 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Jayden Stephens added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Sophomore shooting guard Shykell Brown (Rochester, NY) had 4, 3 pointers scoring 14 on the night.

After the game, Head Coach Matt Lee added "It was nice to get some of our freshman in tonight. We're really focusing on getting them to play tough, with ruthless aggression!!"

The Generals are back in action Saturday when they host the #6 ranked Onondaga CC Lazers at 1 P.M.
