HERKIMER LIFTS WIN STREAK TO FOUR WITH WEEKEND ROAD WINS AT CORNING AND FINGER LAKES

CORNING AND CANANDAIGUA, NY — In back-to-back road games, shots weren't falling, and momentum never really swung in the favor of the Generals. 

 Shots fell when they mattered though, as Herkimer (5-1) won games at Corning Community College, and Finger Lakes Community College respectively.

 The Generals beat Corning 66-48 on Saturday. After a halftime score of 30-30, Herkimer went on a 27-8 run in the second half to seal the deal and run away with an 18 point victory.

 

Leading Scorers:

 Freshman guard Shykell Brown (Rochester) 23 points

 Freshman forward David Mo (Bishop Ludden) 15 points

 Sophomore forward Rashad Alfahad (Whitesboro) 10 points

 

 The following day, the No. 7 nationally ranked Generals took on Fingers Lakes Community College; winning 63-55 in an offensive struggle for both sides.

 Herkimer shot 23-of-51 from the field, including 4-of-20 from beyond-the-arc, and had 14 turnovers. Defensively, Herkimer was on point forcing Finger Lakes to 22-of-59 shooting.

 Freshman guard Jayden Stephens (Yonkers) 10 points, 3 rebounds

 Sophomore forward Tyres Desinor (Bronx) 9 points, 4 rebounds

 Freshman forward David Mo (Bishop Ludden) 9 points, 4 rebounds

 The Generals return home for two games before the Thanksgiving Break. The first is against Jefferson Community College on Thursday at 7 p.m. On Saturday, they take on SUNY Broome at 3 p.m.
