HERKIMER BASKETBALL RUNS WINNING STREAK TO 15 GAMES, DEFEAT CLINTON 64-52

Herkimer, NY - Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) and Keshaun Howard (Brooklyn, NY) scored 14 points apiece as the Herkimer Generals Men's Basketball team ran their winning streak to 15 games with a 64-52 win over Mountain Valley Conference foe Clinton Community College on Saturday afternoon in Herkimer, NY. The win improves the Generals record to 18-1 overall and 8-1 in MVC action. 

Isaiah Stone (Baldwin, NY) also netted double figures in the win, scoring 10 points as Herkimer held a 29-26 halftime lead and extended it out in the second half to the eventual 12 point win. Howard had 4 of Herkimer's 9 3 point field goals on the day. Darius Hines (Troy, NY) added 3 3 pointers in the first half as he finished the game with 9 points. 

The Generals now gear up for a big matchup on Wednesday, Feb 6th as they travel to Johnstown, NY to take on the Fulton-Montgomery Raiders in the first of two games in 5 days between the two schools. This will be the first time the Generals and Raiders have met since last March, when Herkimer came back from a huge first half deficit to defeat F-M in the 2018 Region III Championship Game by a score of 74-64 in Herkimer. Game time for Wednesday night's conference matchup is set for 7:00 PM.
