HERKIMER MEN TURN TABLES ON HUDSON VALLEY WITH 102-79 WIN

Troy, NY - On November 10th, in their only loss of the season, the Herkimer Generals gave up 102 points to the Hudson Valley Vikings. On Saturday, the Generals returned the favor.

In a matchup of nationally ranked teams, the #2 Herkimer Generals got payback for their only loss of the season as they went on the road and beat the # 9 Hudson Valley Vikings by a score of 102-79 on Saturday afternoon in Troy, NY. The win, which was Herkimer's 13th in a row since the loss to HVCC, raised the Generals record to 16-1 on the year and 6-1 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

As usual for the Generals this season, it was a balanced scoring attack that led the way in the big win. Darius Hines (Troy, NY) returned to his hometown and led Herkimer with 21 points on the day. Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) had 18 points and 9 rebounds and Isaiah Stone (Baldwin, NY) chipped in with 12 points. Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) and Jaymes Jackson (Brooklyn, NY) each had 11 points as Herkimer shot just under 50% from the field on the day and shot 23-27 from the line in the 23 point win. 

The Generals now get focused for yet another game against a nationally ranked opponent with a huge matchup at home with their longtime Mountain Valley Conference rivals from Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday night in Herkimer, NY. Mohawk Valley currently sits right behind Herkimer at # 3 in the NJCAA Division III National Poll. The Generals handed the Hawks their only loss of the season up to this point with a 87-79 road win on November 7th in Utica, NY. Game time for this matchup between the #2 and # 3 ranked teams in the country is set for 6:00 PM.
