HERKIMER SWEEPS 2 GAME ROAD TRIP AT JEFFERSON AND BROOME

Watertown, NY and Binghamton, NY - The Herkimer Generals came off the 11 day Thanksgiving break with a couple of road wins against Mid-State Conference opponents. On Thursday Nov 29, the Generals traveled to Watertown and took down the Jefferson CC Cannoneers by a score of 74-62. They followed that up with a resounding 98-48 victory over SUNY Broome on Saturday afternoon, Dec 1, in Binghamton, NY. The wins raised Herkimer's record to 8-1 on the year and gives the Generals a perfect 6-0 mark on the road so far in the 2018-2019 campaign.

On Thursday night at Jefferson, Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) and Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) paced the Generals attack with 13 points apiece as Herkimer battled back from a 32-31 halftime deficit. Jaymes Jackson (Brooklyn, NY) added 11 points of the bench and Darius Hines (Troy, NY) added 10 points in the victory. Keshaun Howard (Brooklyn, NY) dished out 12 assists as well. 

Hines also had a strong game on Saturday in Binghamton, NY as he scored a career high 22 points in the big win at SUNY Broome. Howard notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists off the bench. Jackson and Beckles added 14 points apiece and Sophomores Musa Pough (Brooklyn, NY) and Arnold Agard (Brooklyn, NY) each netted 10 points as Herkimer had 6 different players get double figures in scoring and their 98 points on the day were a season high.

Herkimer returns home on Wednesday, December 5th to take on Mountain Valley Conference opponent SUNY ACC in the Herkimer Varsity Gym. Game time is set for 5:00 PM.
