HERKIMER MEN BOUNCE BACK WITH BIG WIN AT TC-3

 

Dryden, NY - After dropping their first game of the season on Saturday, the # 4 ranked Herkimer Generals Men's Basketball team bounced back in a big way with a 93-60 victory over Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Tuesday evening in Dryden, NY. The win lifts the Generals record to 4-1 overall on the season. 

Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) led the way for Herkimer with 21 points, which included a perfect 3-3 from 3 point range. Senior Darius Hines (Troy, NY) took advantage of his first start of the year to score a career high 16 points. Keshaun Howard (Brooklyn, NY) came of the bench to score 13 points while also going 3-3 for 3-pointers. On the evening, the Generals shot 56% from the field overall, including a red-hot 12-22 from 3 point land. 

Herkimer now looks to a big home weekend as they try to grab their first home win of the 2018-2019 campaign. On Saturday, Corning Community College will come to town for a 3:00 tip-off followed on Sunday by a visit from Finger Lakes Community College. Tip time for Sunday against the Lakers is set for 2:00 PM.
