HERKIMER DROPS NATIONAL QUARTERFINAL GAME

Loch Sheldrake, New York -  Columbus State (OH) used a big second half run to turn back the Herkimer Generals by a score of 91-76 in the NJCAA Men's Basketball Division III National Quarterfinal Game at SUNY Sullivan in Loch Sheldrake, New York. Freshman Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) led Herkimer with 23 points while Mattson Darrah (Porirua, New Zealand) added 12 points on 4 3 point shots and Solomon Silas (Lagos, Nigeria) contributed 10 points in the losing effort. 

The loss drops Herkimer's record to 25-6 on the season. The Generals fall into the consolation bracket of the National Tournament and will play the loser of the Minnesota West/Brookdale game. That game will take place Friday at 12 Noon.
